Hello, I'm Carolynn Hunt, mother of four and a floral designer with over 20 years of experience.
I found my way into floral design and landscaping as a stay-at-home mother in Oak Park, Illinois. Our 1928 Colonial home seemed to call for a gardener's touch, and I answered with curiosity and care. What began as a simple effort to revive a tired garden soon grew into a lifelong passion.
Encouraged by friends and the school community who admired my eye for color and composition, my backyard sanctuary blossomed into something more, beyond gardens and into the art of flowers. Over the years, that passion has taken form in weddings, event centerpieces, seasonal container gardens, and intimate garden retreats, all inspired by the natural rhythm of the seasons.
Today, I'm proud to share my work through Flower Fleurt, a way to bring my floral artistry directly to you. Each design reflects a love of nature's textures, tones, and transitions, crafted with care to celebrate beauty in every season.
I remain deeply grateful to the Oak Park and River Forest communities and to the clients who have trusted me through the years. Together, we'll continue to grow, one seasonal garden at a time, and one beautiful day at a time.
My approach to floral and seasonal container design is simple: don't overthink it. Beauty rarely needs convincing. I don't chase trends or define my work by price or prestige. Experience has revealed which blooms endure and which harmonies sing, creating a trusted palette I return to with quiet confidence.
Refinement, for me, grows from restraint and understanding, not excess. I design as nature intends: organically, intuitively, and with reverence for balance. Each composition finds its own rhythm, its own moment of grace.
